6 steps to deal with my difficult emotions:

  1. Be aware of my emotion and identify where I sense it in my body 
  2. I verbally say my emotion to myself “this is anxiety” 
  3. I acknowledge and accept that it is there 
  4. Even if my emotion is overwhelming, I remember that it will pass (
  5. I ask myself, What triggered me? Why do I feel this way? 
I be open to the outcome of my emotions and what it unfolds
